PROXY — masked and suited

Why does Proxy
wear a mask?

Most people assume it is about anonymity.
It is not.

The mask does not conceal his identity. It gives a face to those who no longer have one.

It represents the soldiers who are sent to the trenches, the civilians caught in the crossfire, and the countless lives forever changed by war. The people who carry out decisions they never had the power to make. The people who bleed, suffer, and die.

The tailor-made suit tells the other half of the story.

It symbolizes those who sit in comfortable offices, around polished tables, making decisions that ripple across nations and generations. They shape history with words, signatures, and strategy, while remaining untouched by the consequences.

The mask and the suit are not opposites.
They are two halves of the same system.
One decides.One pays the price.

Throughout history, those roles have remained separate. In DISARMED, they are intentionally united in a single figure.

The artist becomes both the decision-maker and the one who bears the consequences. It is a reminder that power should never be separated from responsibility, and that every decision made in comfort is ultimately someone else’s burden.

The mask is not worn to hide behind. It is worn so that those who history has hidden are finally seen.
